TTile Streak

You've already got a guess or two down and some colored tiles staring back at you. This tool takes it from there.

How to use it

  1. Enter a guess you've made.
  2. Set the color of each tile: green, yellow or gray, matching what the game showed you.
  3. Repeat for every guess so far.
  4. Read the results: which answers still fit, and which guess to try next.

There's no limit on how many guesses you feed it, so you can use it after your first guess or your fifth.

Two lists, two jobs

The solver shows two separate lists once you've entered your clues:

  • Possible answers. Words from Tile Streak's own answer list that still match every clue

you've given. This shrinks fast: often from thousands of options down to single digits by the third guess.

  • Allowed words. Every word that's a legal guess, whether or not it could be today's

answer. This list stays longer, because plenty of legal guesses exist only to test letters, not to win outright.

Both matter. If you just want to win, the first list is your shortlist. If you want a guess that tests the most new letters, the suggested next guess often comes from the second.

How the suggested guess is chosen

For every word still allowed as a guess, the solver estimates how many of the remaining possible answers it would rule out, on average, across every color pattern that guess could produce. It suggests whichever guess leaves the smallest number of possible answers standing. That's often not a word that could be the answer itself. It's a word built to test letters efficiently.

Using it without spoiling the fun

A solver can take you straight to the answer if you let it, so how you use it is up to you. Some players check it only when truly stuck, after four or five guesses. Others use the suggested-guess feature from the start as a way to learn better openers, then stop checking once they've got a strong lead. Either way, the solver is a separate tool, not part of the game itself, so using it never touches your streak or your stats.

If you'd rather build stronger habits before you guess than lean on a tool after, the best starting words guide is measured against the same answer list this solver uses. New to the rules entirely? Start with how to play, then take what you've learned to today's five-letter word or Unlimited for practice with no pressure on your streak.

Questions

How does the solver work?

You enter each guess you've made and set its tiles to green, yellow or gray. The solver checks every word on our answer list against those clues and shows which ones still fit.

What's the difference between the two lists it shows?

The first list is words that could be today's actual answer. The second is every allowed word, a much longer list, since not every valid guess can be an answer. Both are useful: the first for guessing, the second for finding a guess that tests more letters.

How does it pick the next guess to suggest?

It looks at every allowed word as a possible next guess and estimates how many of the remaining possible answers each one would rule out. It suggests the guess that leaves the fewest answers standing on average.

Does it work for lengths other than five letters?

Yes, for the lengths Tile Streak plays, 3 to 11 letters. Set the length to match the puzzle you're solving before you enter your first guess.

Will it work for a puzzle from a different site?

It checks against Tile Streak's own word lists. Another site's word list may differ slightly, so results are most reliable on our own games.

Does using it count against my streak?

No. The solver is a separate tool from the daily game. Using it doesn't touch your stats or your streak either way.
